As we await disruption caused by water pipeline works at Ruddington’s northern boundary – which were postponed due to the recent snow and ice (and are now rescheduled for the end of April) – around a week of gas installation work is now underway at the same site!
A spokesperson for Fulcrum Pipelines has confirmed to RUDDINGTON.info that two-way 24-hour temporary signals will be needed on Wilford Road from TODAY (Thursday 15th March) for up to three days just south of the Landmere Lane junction. Workers are installing a new 4.4 metre gas main to supply the new housing adjacent to the new care home there. Although the existing pipe runs along the grass verge, the road width needs to be reduced in order to provide a safe working area for Fulcrum staff.
Whilst theses temporary lights are in place, peak time delays are likely for motorists and to Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 bus. Please keep an eye out here and on our Twitter feed for updates.
